The Robert L. Boland, Jr., Memorial COPE Course is scheduled for the rebuilding of the high ropes course before 2007.  The low course and tower have been upgraded this fall.  The course is 16 years old and hosts around 1,200 participants annually.  The new high course will be built on utility poles, which should last up to 30 years.

You can read the COPE brochure here.

The Boland family is contacting friends of Bobby to help fund the project.  The Starkville Rotary Club is holding a special fund-raiser for the project in October.  The OMNOVA Foundation (formerly General Tire in Columbus) has been donating consistently in recent years.

Robert L.
